A tank commander is being investigated on possible charges of involuntary manslaughter and negligent homicide in the friendly fire death of San Antonio Marine Lance Corporal Benjamin Whetstone Schmidt. A quarter of all American soldiers who served in the first Gulf War were killed by friendly fire. We will discuss how the military justice system is dealing with the problem.
