Tenor J. Mark McVey has appeared as a guest artist with dozens of symphonies across the country and around the world. He made his Broadway debut in Les Miserables and won the 1991 Helen Hayes "Outstanding Actor" Award for his role with the touring company. Among his Broadway credits are Tommy and The Best Little Whore House Goes Public. McVey made his Carnegie Hall debut with Marvin Hamlisch in 1997. Best known for his theater work, he has appeared in the Off-Broadway revival of Chess, Hey Love and the critically acclaimed review of Mary Rogers' music, among other productions. McVey's CDs include One Among Few, the critically-acclaimed Broadway and Beyond, and If You Really Knew Me, a tribute to the music of Marvin Hamlisch.
