Cedric The Entertainer

Cedric The EntertainerCedric "The Entertainer", a popular actor and comedian, currently stars as Coach Cedric Robinson opposite comedian Steve Harvey on the WB's number-one-rated sitcom The Steve Harvey Show. His portrayal of the coach earned him his third consecutive NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

From 1997 through 2000, he traveled across the country as one of the headliners for the successful Kings of Comedy Tour, the top grossing comedy tour in history, with fellow funnymen Steve Harvey, D.L. Hughley, and Bernie Mac.

Cedric made his 1992 television debut on It's Showtime at the Apollo, and he has appeared on The Tonight Show, The Chris Rock Show, Politically Incorrect, Hollywood Squares, HBO's Def Comedy Jam, and BET's Comic View which he hosted during the 1994-1995 season.

In 1994, he received the Richard Pryor Comic of the Year Award from Black Entertainment Television.

He has also appeared on film, including the 1998 Miramax comedy Ride, Fox's Big Momma's House, and Spike Lee's docu-film The Original Kings of Comedy. In the spring of 2001, he appeared opposite Whoopi Goldberg in the Fox Searchlight film Kingdom Come.

He will star in his own original film Preaching Ain't Easy, which he co-wrote, and is also set to star in his own TV sitcom for the WB, Cedric the Coach.

The Bud Light Cedric "The Entertainer" Comedy Revue, which kicked-off in May 2001, gives young comics nationwide the exposure they need to build their careers. Cedric recently founded The Cedric "The Entertainer" Charitable Foundation, Inc. which contributes financial aid to inner city communities through scholarships and outreach programs to enhance the lives of youth and families in his hometown of St. Louis.
