Chris Tucker

Chris TuckerComedian and actor Chris Tucker, a native of Atlanta, Georgia, has appeared in Los Angeles as a stand-up comedian in The Comedy Store, The Fun House, and The Comedy Act Theatre, among others. His releases include an upcoming video of excerpts of his live comedy act, based on a recent national U.S. tour.

Film audiences have enjoyed his performances as Johnny Booze in House Party 3 (1994), Smokey in Friday, the Bodyguard in Panther, and Skip in Dead Presidents (all three in 1995); DJ Ruby Rhod in Fifth Element, Franklin Hatchett in Money Talks, and Beaumont Livingston in Jackie Brown (the latter three in 1997); Detective James Carter in Rush Hour (1998); William Soul in Double-O Soul (2000); and his partnership with Jackie Chan in the recently released Rush Hour II (2001, a film that is said to have amassed the biggest August opening-weekend gross in cinematic history.)
