In 1979, Aykroyd and the late John Belushi were nominated for a Grammy Award for their triple-platinum album "Briefcase Full of Blues," in addition to performing on seven CDs whose combined sales total more than five million copies. He has co-written more than nine screenplays, including "Blues Brothers" and "Ghostbusters," and received an Emmy Award for his writing on "Saturday Night Live." In 1989, Aykroyd received an Oscar nomination for his performance in "Driving Miss Daisy," and in 1999 he was invested with the Order of Canada and received a Vice-Regal decoration, given to those Canadians who "desire to make a better country." His recent projects include the motion pictures "Bright Young Things" and "Christmas with the Kranks." Aykroyd currently is producing the "Have Love Revue," a venture with Jim Belushi, in which he stars as an emcee, vocalist and dancer.
