David Spade is a part of the cast of ABC's "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter." Best known for his work on "Just Shoot Me," he received two Golden Globe Awards, an American Comedy Award, and an Emmy Award nomination for his character, Dennis Finch. He made his television debut on Saturday Night Live as a writer-performer, and shortly thereafter, Rolling Stone named him the "Hot Stand-Up Comedian of the Year." His sketch "Hollywood Minute" provided inspiration for his current project, a half-hour Comedy Central show co-written and produced with Hugh Fink, set to premiere in January 2005. His feature film credits include both writing and starring in "Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star," "Joe Dirt" and "Lost & Found." He has lent his voice to the animated pictures "Racing Stripes" and "The Emperor's New Groove" and has also appeared in "Tommy Boy," "Blacksheep," "Reality Bites" and "Coneheads." On the small screen, he has guest-starred on "The Larry Sanders Show" and appeared in HBO's "13th Annual Young Comedians Special." In 1999 he headlined his own HBO special, "David Spade: Take the Hit."
