Christopher Walken


Christopher Walken
Christopher Walken has appeared in more than 50 feature films, including an Academy Award-winning performance in "The Deer Hunter" and an Academy Award-nominated performance for "Catch Me if You Can." His first big cinematic success was his role as Duane Hall in the Oscar-winning Best Picture "Annie Hall." His other film credits include "Pennies from Heaven," "The Dead Zone," "Biloxi Blues" and "America's Sweethearts." Most recently he starred in "Man on Fire" and "The Stepford Wives." Additionally, he has received the Clarence Derwent Award for his performance in the Broadway production of "The Lion in Winter;" an Obie Award for his role in "The Seagull;" and the 1997 Stein Shiva award for his work with Joseph Papp's Public Theater. In 1999 he co-starred in the stage adaptation of James Joyce's "The Dead." In 2001 he appeared in a revival of Chekhov's "The Seagull" for the New York Shakespeare Festival. On television, he has hosted Saturday Night Live six times since 1990. His next projects include the motion pictures "Around the Bend," "Wedding Crashers," and John Turturro's ensemble musical "Romance and Cigarettes."
