PBS NewsHour: Political Checklist: Watching Wisconsin

In this week's Political Checklist, Political Editor Christina Bellantoni chatted with senior correspondent Gwen Ifill and special guest Jeff Brown about the historic recall election in Wisconsin.

Republican Gov. Scott Walker holds a slight lead heading into voting Tuesday as the state considers if he deserves to be ousted. The contest is a rematch of the 2010 race with Walker facing Democratic Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett.

Jeff says he was surprised by the amount of energy coming from both sides in the Badger State, and about how hardened supporters of each man are in their positions.

Gwen notes that, as has been the case in several elections this year, outside money from national interest groups has been flowing to the candidates.
