New Jersey's Christie to Endorse Romney

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie is expected to endorse Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in the race for the GOP nomination, a  coup for Romney that could help him solidify his front-runner status and build an aura of inevitability around his campaign.

Christie is expected to be the "special guest" at a Romney campaign event scheduled for 3 p.m. on Tuesday in Lebanon, N.H.

Occupy Hart Building Ends in Arrests

The Occupy Wall Street movement hit Congress on Tuesday, with six arrested after dozens of demonstrators staged a short protest in the Hart Senate Office building.

The now-national effort mostly targets financial institutions but has complained about the political system. Hundreds of protesters descended on Washington last week, assembling downtown near the White House and K Street but surprisingly avoiding Capitol Hill until Tuesday.

The protest took advantage of Hart’s 90-foot central atrium, where upper floors look down on the lobby below.

Doc Group Pushes SupComm To Repeal SGR

The American Osteopathic Association launched an online ad campaign today that urges the Super Committee to repeal the Medicare sustainable growth rate, which effectively mandates that Congress annually slash doctors' Medicare reimbursement rates -- a requirement lawmakers regularly vote to avoid.
The group is taking a new tact in their long-running campaign to repeal the SGR by depicting it as a $300 billion drag on the economy.

Axelrod Memo Argues That Voters Support Obama's Jobs Plan

The Obama campaign sent out a memo from senior strategist David Axelrod on Tuesday arguing that the American people support the president's American Jobs Act. The note, addressed to ‘Interested Parties’, cites reams of polling data in order to prove Americans support the bill, and that Congress's high disapproval rating is linked to a perceived failure to do anything to create jobs in the short term.

NASA Rover Captures Images of Mars Surface Over Three-Year Trek -- VIDEO

A new video from NASA shows 309 images from a rover's three-year voyage across the surface of Mars.

From September 2008 to August 2011, the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity traveled from Victoria crater to Endeavour crater. At the end of each day that the rover drove across the surface, the team snapped a photo of the landscape.
