THIS WEEK, the Supreme Court reaffirmed the 2nd amendment right to bear arms in a controversial case overturning Chicago’s hand-gun ban.  Just two years ago, the Roberts court signaled that it might rule this way when it struck down Washington, DC’s hand-gun ban.  But since DC was a federal enclave, gun rights supporters challenged Chicago's local law.
