1. This contest will run from January 1, 2002 to May 24, 2002. Winners will be announced on July 4, 2002.
2. Entries must be less than 500 words in length, in keeping with Borglum's original plan.
3. All entrants must be younger than 18 years of age.
4. Team entries are encouraged: get some of your friends together and brainstorm!
5. All entries must be submitted via this Web site's electronic submission form. No paper entries will be accepted.
6. PBS and WGBH Educational Foundation are granted non-exclusive rights to reproduce in any form all entries submitted to the contest.
7. All contest entries and information will be used only for the purposes of this contest.
8. This contest adheres to the PBS Online Privacy Policy.
9. This winning entries will be printed exactly as received.
