How did you get into theater?

When I started high school, I was still a very soft spoken person… My first class was Theater Arts. I fell in love with the class and decided to give theater and acting a try… When the spring musical, "The Wizard of Oz," came around, I decided to try out. I found that I was good at acting; however, I never had liked my singing voice. I was given the role of Scarecrow! I was determined to do justice to the role. Opening night came and “If I Only Had A Brain” started. As soon as I started singing, my mom turned to my dad and asked, “Where did that come from?” They had never heard me sing so well. From that night on I was determined to make this my life, and I’m happy with what I was given.

Who are some of your role models in entertainment?

Even before I was an actor, I loved to hear the voice of Terrence Mann. My family loved the musical "Beauty and the Beast" and some of them saw Terrence Mann perform in it. I never got to see the show on Broadway before it closed. However, I grew up listening to the soundtrack. I loved hearing his voice as Beast. He was perfect.
