How did you get into theater?

I started performing at the age of two when I sang and danced for my family in our living room to a song called "Punchinello." I also put on a short play about Batman with my friend for our parents to film. While I participated in my kindergarten Christmas Pageant, it wasn’t until eighth grade that I discovered my interest in theater. I was cast as the lead in our eighth grade play and while rehearsing and during the performance, I slowly realized my passion for theater and love of the stage. After our eighth grade class went on a field trip to see Phantom of the Opera in New York, I said, “Yes, this is what I want to do for the rest of my life!”

Who are some of your role models in entertainment?

One of my biggest role models comes from the Broadway stage. Michael Crawford starred in my favorite musical, "The Phantom of the Opera." He was my all-time favorite Phantom. When I heard the soundtrack, his voice astounded me. His vocal range was so expansive and he could just hit those high notes with such ease. I would love to have a vocal range that good. One day I hope to be able to play the role of the Phantom and hopefully do as good a job a Michael Crawford.
