Nicholas Wasileski Hershey Theatre Apollo Awards Camp Hill, PA

How did you get into theater?

I’ve always been hyper and eccentric, so theater was a great place for me to express all of that “creative” energy. I did a couple of shows before I went to high school but my first show when I was actually in high school was "Beauty and the Beast." In that show I played Belle’s father and loved every minute of it.

Why is performing important to you?

Theater, to me, isn’t just a place to pretend and make-believe, it’s a place to meet new people. To me, my cast wasn’t just a group of people I knew, they were family. Theater… is a learning experience; it teaches kids patience, cooperation, and discipline among other things.
