Hard — I feel I work best with strong people, I wasn't paired well to succeed.
What did you prepare today?
Blackened pork chops with dirty rice; sake braised beet greens, shitake and cucumber salad.
How do you think you did? Is there anything you wish you'd done better?
Sh***y, could have split the dish up.
What was the highlight of the day's events?
Stress relief — in knowing I'm done before my weaknesses were further exploited.
Are there any lessons you took away from today?
Even in a team setting, watch out for yourself.
What was the most constructive or interesting piece of feedback you heard from the judges?
Importance of seasoning on everyone's dished, over and under.
