Description
Becky Sharp left school penniless. Before taking up a position as governess, she stays with her friend Amelia Sedley. Having unsuccessfully tried to lure Jos Sedley--rich and home on leave from India--into marriage, Becky leaves to become governess to Sir Pitt Crawley. The lives of Becky and Amelia continue to intersect as each tries to find love and wealth in nineteenth century London.
