Simply staged in a lecture hall, Eileen Atkins portrays Virginia Woolf as she speaks to a group of students about the role of women in fiction and particularly the difficulties of being a woman artist. Virginia Woolf's thesis was that in order to write, "a woman must have money and a room of one's own."
