Description
Hedda, a manipulative, neurotic woman, is bored with her insipid scholarly husband, upset by the idea of a possible pregnancy, and concerned that she may have to change her style of living if her husband is not appointed to a professorship at the university. Eilert Lovberg, who was once in love with Hedda and lived a dissipated life, has now become the author of a successful book and her husband's rival for the professorship.
