Description
The series covers the period between 1886 and 1918 and focuses on the work of the Women's Social and Political Union to secure the vote for women, as well as on the individual women who devoted their lives to the cause. Concentrating on the women themselves, their motivations, their sacrifices, and their relationships with each other interwoven with historical events, the series introduces us to several of the most prominent British suffragettes: Emmeline Pankhurst, Christabel Pankhurst, Sylvia Pankhurst, Annie Kennedy, and Lady Constance Lytton.
