Description
With turned up nose and turned down hose, Ruby L. Sears is a saucy flapper with an unswerving determination to become a silent film star. Ruby enters scriptwriter Bill Trench's life when she gate crashes a film studio party and Bill is unwittingly dragged into her ambition and unconsciously smitten with her forthright charms. Bill next encounters Ruby when she is working as a waitress on the studio lot, where he observes her making herself known to the top moguls. Ruby's gutsy, zany personality gives Trench an idea for a new kind of "modern" film based on Ruby's life: "The Movie Nut". It's not easy getting a film written and made but Ruby and Bill are determined to see it through and contributing to the fun and games are Ruby's tangles with studio politicians and competing actors before she finally becomes a star and finds true love with the cynical but attractive screenwriter, Bill Trench.
