Program Title
Credits Producer: Roy Roberts Director: Robert Knights Intro ALL FOR LOVE/Episode 1 : A Dedicated Man/Intro by Alistair Cooke Good evening, I'm Alistair Cooke. Tonight we begin a series of five short plays adapted from short stories by five Modern English novelists. Granada Television has tied them all together under the general title All for Love because all are about different forms of love. In fact you could call this a series of adult movies if the phrase had not been monopolized by morons. The first is by the distinguished Elizabeth Taylor, no relation to the actress. Born in 1912 and still going strong, she has been refreshingly straightforward and unfussy in her work. She once wrote, A theme, a favorite theme, running through my stories, is that of the different ways an individual can be isolated from others. Well, this is one way. It's the way of a new waitress at a seaside hotel and her discovery of A Dedicated Man.
