Description
It's 1649, two years after England's King Charles I and his followers have lost Britain's Civil War to the opposing Roundheads. Oliver Cromwell, the country's new leader, moves to center stage. The events following the Civil War are seen through the eyes of the Lacey family and their servants as the series chronicles the experiences of a family divided by their loyalties to King and Parliament.
