Mr. Guppy An ambitious young law clerk working for Kenge and Carboy. He is infatuated with Esther, but she refuses his proposal of marriage. Guppy becomes involved in the investigation of Lady Dedlock's secret. The son of British parents, Burn Gorman has spent most of his life in the UK, although he was born in Hollywood, California. He's appeared in several films, most notably Layer Cake with Daniel Craig and Michael Gambon. He has also worked extensively in radio, and as a musician with various artists, including Neneh Cherry, Groove Armada and Fatboy Slim.
