Smallweed Grandfather (Joshua) Smallweed is a moneylender, a ruthless and mean old invalid in league with Tulkinghorn. Joshua's wife, the childish Grandmother, is Krook's sister. She gets cushions thrown at her whenever she mentions money. The Smallweed family also includes twin grandchildren, Bartholomew and Judy. Phil Davis first shot to fame in the film Quadrophenia (1979), based on an album by The Who. Since then he's appeared in many TV dramas and films including Alien3, In the Name of the Father, Secrets & Lies, Nicholas Nickleby, White Teeth and Casanova. His performance in Mike Leigh's Vera Drake was nominated for a BAFTA award and won Best Actor at the British Independent Film Awards.
