The youthful Keeley Fawcett was born in 1985 in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. She began her career in musicals, starred as Dorothy in a school production of The Wizard of Oz in 2000 and has toured in the Dame Edna Everage Show. Her older sister Lindsey is also an actor; her mother Michelle has worked as a production secretary and makeup artist. Fawcett has appeared previously in the British television series Heartbeat, At Home with the Braithwaites and Doctors.
