A native of London, Pauline Quirke is best known for her performances in The Elephant Man, in Masterpiece Theatre's David Copperfield and MYSTERY!s The Sculptress (for which she was nominated for a BAFTA Best Actress award). Her television appearances have also included roles in Birds of a Feather (for which she received the British Comedy Awards Best Actress accolade in 1989)), North & South and The Bill. Quirke was nominated for a National Television Award as "Most Popular Actress" for her role in Down to Earth in 2000.
