Dear Masterpiece Theatre,
I see that this has been released on DVD and what fun! I really enjoyed this series and am going to enjoy it more on DVD. I love period pieces -- especially the 18th-century and Victorian-era films. With Marie Antoinette coming out (by Sofia Coppola) and the new David Grubin film Marie Antoinette done for PBS, I think that The Aristocrats coming out now on DVD now is perfect timing!

Dear Masterpiece Theatre,
I've watched Aristocrats for the second time, and it was even better. It was amazing. Please, please show more of the same...They are wonderful.

Dear Masterpiece Theatre,
I enjoyed the program The Aristocrats very much. It was perfectly produced and acted. Having read the book, my expectations were high... and I was well rewarded in this series.

Dear Masterpiece Theatre,
I absolutely love period pieces, I guess in part at least because I have always loved history. Aristocrats has a special place for me because it combines the beautiful sets, scenes, and costumes that I love so much with a story about real people. I can't wait to get the books.

Dear Masterpiece Theatre,
I want to applaud Masterpiece Theatre for another fantastic production. Aristocrats was so exciting to watch, all the details were so vivid. I think what made this series so fun was that it was a true story. Thank you.

Dear Masterpiece Theatre,
Aristocrats is great! I'm impatiently waiting to see the 3rd part.

Actually, I've recently discovered your channel, and it seems so interesting. I like this kind of programming -- clever, educational, quiet chic, without this be-cool-hip-come-buy stuff, or commercial "cool-selling" messages. I can tell you more about my discovery of your's a long story, probably interesting only to the marketing department, but....

I'm a usual young lady around her 20s, into pop music and Matrix-like movies, but my special interest is historical dramas. Good historical dramas. Aristocrats is just what I wanted: a noble, beautiful (decorations, interior, clothes) story, with beautiful Shakespearean-like language, an interesting plot, amazing actors, action, and drama that was well-directed, well-shot -- all together -- everything is perfect.

That's it -- I'm an admirer. I'd like to see more series like this.

Dear Masterpiece Theatre,
I thoroughly enjoyed Aristocrats. The sisters' relationships were so interesting, and the costumes and settings were gorgeous. I hope to see more like this. Thanks!

Dear Masterpiece Theatre,
It is interesting to compare Emily with the 'Modern Woman' of today. Emily is a young woman who does not think about realizing her personal ambition, and who seems content to be a wife and mother. She brings twenty-two children into the world, and is proud to have done so. She is proud of her husband, proud of her family and proud of her life. Compare that with a woman's life today. Was it just a matter of money that created the atmosphere Emily was so happy with? It seems that there is a lot to learn from her story and I would have liked to go more deeply into this individual's background. I think that the way of life that existed then contributed to marital happiness. Could exposure to the ideas of modern social culture, and modern-age morality have affected the husband-wife relationship to the point of unhappiness and disagreement that it has reached today?

Sarah seems initially to be destined for "great things," but suddenly it all takes a turn for the worse. Rather than going to the top she heads straight for the bottom. Again, this story taken a bit further would elucidate the emotions, complexity, fears, and dreams of aristocrats living as they did what with everything eventually affecting future generations.

This was an excellent broadcast. As usual, the British have done it again. I felt as if I was going into the past of my own forefathers. This series has helped solve a problem in my own life. Thank you, Masterpiece Theatre.

Dear Masterpiece Theatre,
I think Aristocrats is great, but I find it hard to believe that it is a true story. I love the costumes; they look truly authentic.
