![]() General Comments about Masterpiece Theatre updated 5.21.2007 Masterpiece Theatre is without a doubt the best thing that has ever happened to Americans! The quality of the programs far surpasses anything that other mediocre programming has to offer. I have been a fan for the last 35 yrs and can't tell you the enjoyment my husband and I have experienced from these wonderful show. I look forward to more great television from PBS. We really enjoyed The Best of Masterpiece Theatre. It was fun to hear the actors comment and see what they look like now. Keep these outstanding shows coming! I hope I still have my sight so I can enjoy Masterpiece Theatre when my kids put me in the nursing home! I'm a grateful and very enthusiastic fan! Carol Kampf St. Charles, IL I love the mysteries that come from the BBC and Masterpiece Theatre on Sunday nights! How long before we see more shows like this? I sure miss them. The closest thing I can come to this are my iPod radio stations, which are pretty good. Thanks for Mystery! and Masterpiece Theatre! George Busby Phoenix, AZ Our family is a PBS member and has enjoyed every production of Masterpiece Theatre and Mystery! In fact, there is nothing on the commercial or cable channels that can compare to PBS programming. However, we agree with Mr. Vaughan of Tulsa; we would love to see Mystery! return to Thursday nights, and Masterpiece Theatre to Sundays on a consistent basis. The predictability was part of the charm! Sue Roebuck Dallas, TX Since I came to the USA four years ago, Masterpiece Theatre has been one of the most wonderful sources of intellectual nourishment for me, thanks to the wonderful and outstanding "masterpieces." My love for reading great novels and classic authors has become part of my life. I have learned to love novels by Charles Dickens, Jane Austen, Tolstoy, Charlotte Brönte and more. I am not fond of television; I do not like it, but on Sundays, my husband and I sit in front of the television to enjoy good British productions based on wonderful books and presented on Masterpiece Theatre. By the way, two of my favorite productions made it into The Best of Masterpiece Theatre top ten! It was very fun to watch too. Leda Miranda Albuquerque, NM I have enjoyed (still do) watching shows on Masterpiece Theatre; through them, I have grown to have a strong love for history and a variety of cultures. I hope for at least as long as I live that Masterpiece Theatre keeps producing wonderful and inspirational shows on PBS. I would like to thank all the people who participate in helping to produce such wonderful shows. I wish I could meet all the actors, especially those who were in Island at War (I will never forget that show) and The Virgin Queen (I will not forget this show either). I'm so happy to watch Masterpiece Theatre, and so happy to be able to express my gratitude in this forum, freely accessible to anyone and everyone. It's a pleasure to live life, and one of the reasons is because of Masterpiece Theatre on PBS! Emily Mantilla Anaheim, CA I love you! Don't ever go away! I look for you every week. Thanks so much for quality entertainment, intelligent viewing, mental stimuli and someplace to go on the "boob tube." You are my salvation. Marie Burke Manasquan, NJ I am sixteen-year-old girl and I just love Masterpiece Theatre. It is very intriguing. I know that I should be doing other things, but as long as I tell my mother I am watching PBS she does not care! It's a great excuse... Thanks. Dara Gill Chicago, IL
