I just saw Henry VIII. It was a beautiful presentation, notwithstanding some of the horrors perpetrated centuries ago, which were delicately yet effectively portrayed in this work.
I loved Masterpiece Theatre's production of Henry VIII. I'm a high school student and, though I've enjoyed researching English monarchs before, Henry VIII totally captured my attention. I hope it re-airs soon!
I think that they should play this again. I almost cried (okay, I did cry) when Anne Boleyn died. I am only 14 and I think that more young people should get interested in this kind of history!
I absolutely adored this miniseries. I was interested in Tudor history prior to the airing and was undeniably absorbed in the portrayal of King Henry VIII. The many books and resources I have used have given facts and dates, but to see an actual performance set during the time was fabulous! It captured my imagination. It was brilliant to see this wonderful documentary and have the realties of the Tudor realm come to life. I agree fully that it should be re-aired!
