June is younger than her years, impressionable and a bit of a daddy's girl. She's in the amateur dramatic society, and is a singer at the 50/50 Club, which is taken over by Germans. June finds it difficult to decipher the new moral order and is terrified that people will think she is fraternizing.

Samantha Robinson graduated in 2002 from Rose Bruford College, where she won the 2001 Laurence Olivier Bursary Prize. She made her professional debut as Morwenna May in Song Of The Western Man at the Chichester Festival Theatre, and also appeared as Lou in Untouchable at The Bush Theatre and Anna in Girl Watching.
