Henry Dorling

Character actor Jim Carter's credits in film, television and on stage extend back three decades. His best known roles include Fox in The Madness of King George, Harry in Brassed Off and Ralph Bashford in Shakespeare in Love. He will be seen, with Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig in the feature film His Dark Materials: The Golden Compass in December 2007.

Carter has been seen previously on Masterpiece Theatre in A Very British Coup, Precious Bane, Midsomer Murders, The Way We Live Now, and The Wind in the Willows. He is married to actress Imelda Staunton; they have one daughter.
