Ros' success soon means major changes to their unremarkable family life, which Ian becomes increasingly unhappy about. Steven Mackintosh
One of Steven Mackintosh's most memorable performances was as Davy Younger in Antonia Bird's BBC drama about abuse in Welsh orphanages, Care. It won numerous awards including the BAFTA for best single drama; Macintosh was named Best Actor at the Royal Television Society awards in 2001.

A native of Cambridgeshire, Steven also starred in Masterpiece Theatre's award-winning Charles Dickens adaptation, Our Mutual Friend, alongside Anna Friel, Keeley Hawes and Paul McGann. He has appeared in episodes of Inspector Morse, Cadfael and Prime Suspect (5).

Mackintosh made his big screen debut in Prick Up Your Ears in 1987 and appeared as a rookie crewman in David Puttnam's Memphis Belle. He has gone on to appear in Guy Ritchie's Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels; The Jacket with Keira Knightley, and Underworld: Evolution with Kate Beckinsale.
