Richard Coyle studied at the prestigious Bristol Old Vic Theatre School; his film credits include a role in Mike Leigh's critically acclaimed Topsy Turvy and Masterpiece Theatre's Wives and Daughters (in which he played the smitten apprentice, Mr. Coxe). He appears as the bizarre, inept but loveable Jeff Murdock in the hugely successful BBC2 comedy series Coupling. Coyle is scheduled to appear with The English Touring Theatre in "The York Realist" by Peter Gill at the Royal Court Theatre, London during January and February of 2002. Lulu Rachael Stirling Dessie's best friend In Shakespeare: Emilia, wife to Iago. Rachael Stirling, daughter of actress Diana Rigg, attended Edinburgh University and started out with the National Youth Theatre. She made her professional film debut in Still Crazy (1998), which received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Comedy/Musical. James Brabant Joss Ackland In Shakespeare: Brabantio, Father to Desdemona. Joss Ackland, a stage veteran and prolific screen actor, is a London native. His films have included Saint Jack, Lethal Weapon 2, The Hunt for Red October, The Mighty Ducks and Nowhere to Run. He was awarded C.B.E., the Commander of the British Empire. Sinclair Carver Bill Paterson Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Bill Paterson, a native of Glasgow, Scotland, has appeared in many dramatic productions ranging from Crush (opening in the US in the spring of 2002) to Wives and Daughters to Traffik, Hilary and Jackie and Spice World. He received the 1997 BAFTA Scotland Award as Best Actor for his performance in the television mini-series The Crow Road.
