Eve Best was born in London and attended the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She won 'Best Newcomer' awards from the London Critics Circle and the London Evening Standard for her performance in 'Tis a Pity She's a Whore at the Young Vic Theatre in 1999; she received the Best Actress award from the Critics Circle for Mourning Becomes Electra at the Royal National Theatre in 2003.
