A 1992 graduate of London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Charles Edwards has made a name for himself with extensive work on the British stage, most recently as King George VI in the original stage production of The King's Speech; in the National and London Globe Theatre's production of Much Ado About Nothing; and opposite Judi Dench (Cranford) in Peter Hall's 2010 production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. In 2008, in the lead role of Richard Hannay, he accompanied The 39 Steps to Broadway after extensive runs in England.

Film credits include Batman Begins (2005), Mansfield Park (1999), An Ideal Husband (1999), and the upcoming Diana, in which he will portray Princess Diana's private secretary Patrick Jephson alongside actress Naomi Watts. Edwards starred in MASTERPIECE's 2005 film, Bertie and Elizabeth.
