Irish native Jackie Lee had just two hits in her career but she reached the pinnacle of the British music industry. Her first hit, White Horses, landed on the British Top 10 in 1968 and stayed there for four months. (It was the theme music of the British version of a Yugoslavian children's television program.) The record was issued under the name "Jacky," an apparent bid at a catchy identity which didn't catch on. Jackie/Jacky remained an underrated performer during her twenty-year career, although she recorded dozens of songs.
