Doctor Doctor

The new wave Thompson Twins (originally a trio, then a quartet, then a quintet, then a septet) got together in 1977 in Sheffield, England. They released their first album A Product of... in 1981.

After some creative differences (and the success of the dance track In the Name of Love), the Thompson Twins morphed back into a trio and released Quick Step and Side Kick in 1983. Their next album, 1984's Into the Gap (which included the hit Doctor Doctor), sold over 5 million copies internationally.
