He is well known to Italian audiences, originally as a regular cast member in the television series Operazione Odissea and subsequently through film roles. He recently played Saint Antony in the film of his life, Sant'Antonio di Padova. He appears with Paul Sorvino and Gerard Depardieu in the supernatural comedy movie Streghe Verso Nord, plays the male lead in the historical romance Juana la Loca (aka Mad Love), and in the tragic Broken Heart is bodyguard to the daughter of a Mafia chief.
