Jon Proudstar

Unruly and often intoxicated, Davis Nakai antagonizes Officer Jim Chee while neglecting his son Tommy. His character is new to the story, appearing in the screenplay but not the book.

Jon Proudstar began his acting career on his 18th birthday. After five years of work as an extra, his first break came with the film Gore Vidal's Billy the Kid. Since then, Proudstar has appeared in numerous feature films including Shut-Eye, Trigon: The Legend of Pelgidium; Bodies, Rest and Motion; and A Boy Called Hate. He has also won roles on television in Geronimo; Walker, Texas Ranger; Hallmark Hall Of Fame's The Lost Child; and the BBC's Auf Wiedersehen, Pet. Proudstar is the author of Tribal Force, the first Native American superhero comic, which caught the attention of Sundance Film Institute, where he has participated in a Native American writers' lab. He is currently developing a Native American romantic comedy called By Any Other Name.
