A helicopter pilot during the first Gulf War, Randall Elliot now works as an archeologist in Chaco Canyon alongside Maxie Davis and Eleanor Friedman-Bernal.

A graduate of the American Theatre and Dramatic Academy, Lee Tergesen most recently appeared in Monster alongside Charlize Theron, who won the Best Actress Oscar for her portrayal of Aileen Wuornos. He has also appeared in the films Bark, Wild Iris, Point Break. He may be best known playing the role of Terry in Wayne's World and Wayne's World 2 and the role of Toby Beecher on the critically acclaimed HBO series Oz. He also has made guest appearances on the television programs Cracker, ER, Hack, The Handler, Homicide: Life on the Street, JAG, Law & Order: Criminal Intent Third Watch, and Touched by an Angel.

In Hillerman's words:
"Maybe middle thirties or a little older, Leaphorn thought. A couple of inches over six feet, slender, athletic. The sun had bleached his hair even lighter than its usual very light brown. His jeans were worn and so were his jean jacket and his boots. But they fit. They had been expensive. And the face fit the pattern -- a little weather-beaten but what Emma would have called "an upper-class face." A little narrow, large blue eyes, nothing crooked. Nothing bent, nothing scarred. Not the face you'd see looking out of a truckload of migrant workers, or in a roofing crew, or the cab of a road grader."
