 Driven to Distraction (R) Airing Sunday, July 31, 2005 on PBS (Check local listings; dates and times may vary) Aired previously 1991/92 Inspector Morse is convinced that car dealer Jeremy Boynton (Patrick Malahide) is the one link between the fatal stabbings of two young women, but after Morse calls him in for questioning, Chief Superintendent Strange (James Grout) insists there is not enough evidence to keep Boynton in custody. Sergeant Siobhan Maitland (Mary Jo Randall), an expert in crimes against women, joins Morse and Lewis in the investigation. To complicate matters, driving instructor Derek Whittaker (David Ryall) takes Morse on a dangerous driving lesson that he will never forget. Driven to Distraction was written by Anthony Minghella.
