Manchester's 60-something sleuth, played by the incomparable Patricia Routledge (Keeping Up Appearances), is building quite a clientele. Cases this season include an attempt to frame incorruptible D.C.I. Adams (John Graham Davies); psychological warfare waged on a mild-mannered German gardener; a clock custody case; a buried treasure mystery; a suspicious death in a shallow pool; and a time capsule conspiracy. Joining Hetty are her doting hubby, Robert (Derek Benfield); her teenage sidekick, Geoffrey (Dominic Monaghan, Monsignor Renard); Geoffrey's headstrong heartthrob, Janet (Suzanne Maddock) and Hetty's meddling brother-in-law, Frank (Frank Mills).
"Delightful." -- Robert Bianco, USA Today
"Dust off your tea cozies and spread some clotted cream on your crumpets. Britain's favorite amateur sleuth returns to MYSTERY!" -- Kevin McDonough, United Features Syndicate
