The Sittaford Mystery Airing Sunday, July 23, 2006 on PBS (Check local listings; dates and times may vary) Miss Jane Marple is a guest at Sittaford House, a lonely mansion on the moors, when a blizzard descends on the already isolated village of Sittaford. The owner. Clive Trevelyan, an eminent politician tapped to be the next Prime Minister, insists on spending the night at the Three Crowns Inn in Exhampton, six miles away, much to the puzzlement of his best friend Enderby. A long evening trapped indoors as a result of the snow begins to take a sinister turn when a box of Turkish delight meant for Trevelyan is found to be poisoned and a ouija board spells out that he will be murdered that night. The ouija board is proved correct when Trevelyan is found dead in his room with a knife in his chest and a mysterious smile on his face. Jim Pearson, Trevelyan's alcoholic nephew, is the main suspect. His feisty fiancée Emily is determined to prove his innocence and, aided by both eager journalist Charles Burnaby and Miss Marple, they set about piecing together the mysterious events of that night, which involve a secret marriage, Winston Churchill, an escaped convict and a priceless Egyptian artifact... Star Geraldine McEwan is joined by yet another stellar cast, including former 'James Bond' Timothy Dalton, James Wilby, Laurence Fox, Rita Tushingham, Carey Mulligan Matthew Kelly, Michael Brandon, Zoe Telford, James Murray and Robert Hardy.
