Well, we
have been stuck with the internal combustion engine alone for about eight
decades now. The Clinton administration formed a partnership with the
automakers to develop hybrid cars. The irony is that that motivated the
Japanese to build those cars, and the US car companies walked away from the
deal as soon as President Bush took office. And the net result has been Toyota
and Honda have hybrids. US car companies were very slow to the market, but now
they're finally introducing hybrids and I think hybrids are the car of
the near future. I expect hybrids to become increasingly popular in every
market segment.
