Attention student readers! The Secret Life of Scientists and Engineers is offering a Digital Media Internship to two talented students. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a renowned, Emmy and Webby-nominated PBS science series in meaningful ways. Chosen interns will participate in various aspects of series production, including casting, production meetings, writing social media posts, and writing original pieces for the popular Secret Life blog.
Criteria for Selection:
Students must be either undergraduate or graduate students who display an interest in science, exceptional writing skills, a keen understanding of the social media landscape, and a curiosity for the world. Being diligent, detail-oriented, and creative are necessities. An interest in media or the arts is preferred.
Each intern would have access to our production office in NYC and the opportunity for his or her voice to be heard. Applicants who are not in New York are welcome to apply, with the understanding that interns are expected to participate in weekly conference calls.
Interns will have not only the unique opportunity to contribute ideas to an acclaimed series on PBS, but they will also gain mentors in the Secret Life team. One-on-one meetings with the producers will enable each intern to gain invaluable advice and a hands-on experience.
Secret Life offers a stipend for travel and meals.
