Titanic: What's Real
by Kelly Tyler

Creating "Titanic" was an epic technological undertaking, akin to the building of the ill-fated ship more than 86 years ago. Digital Domain and 16 other companies created over 450 effects shots for the film. From state-of-the-art computer-generated imagery to tried-and-true techniques from the visual effects tradition, nearly 500 elements were combined in the freeze-frame below. What's real? You be the judge, and click on the image to find out if you're right.
