Periscope Room
From here, the Officer of the Deck, who commanded both the Attack and Control rooms, would stand watch and give orders. The two periscopes served as the eyes of the sub, allowing the crew to see objects on the surface when the boat was submerged. Here, the course of the sub was plotted on the plotting table, and orders were given via the voice tube to the control room. Nearby the periscopes (now separated by glass) are the controls for firing the boat's weapons.
