The city in which this Wonder resided used to be three city-states that
combined to form one territory. The city was besieged at several different
times, but most notably when its citizens refused to join a leader called
Antigonus in a battle against Ptolemy I of Egypt. A great siege took place and
the city emerged victorious. In victory, the city's inhabitants built this
Wonder.
