This activity could be used with NOVA's "Night Creatures of the Kalahari"
program. Have students research the animals of other deserts. For example: Sonoran, Mohave, or Sahara. Compile a list of adaptations to that desert and compare them to the ones in the Kalahari. Students can then explain why some are the same and others are different, using explanations based on the concept of natural selection. Sent in by
