I am expanding the lessons that were given with NOVA's "MARS Dead or Alive"
program to include having students write a newspaper as though it were from the planet Mars. Student articles will include information students know about Mars as well as some of the new information that is coming back to Earth now. Some students could also include comic strips in their newspaper. The newspaper will be called FACES (Fun And Cool Educational Stuff) from Space. Getting my students more involved in NASA's space program will allow them to take stock in what they are learning and doing. Plus, they will be able to spread the news to more people through their own newspaper.
